Fantastic Kitchen Diner Renovation
This kitchen diner renovation was a complete rebuild of the original structure. The only parts left were the walls and these weren't good enough to build on. Steel girders were engineered and bolted to the existing walls to help make it stable, and would be the supporting structures for the huge 4 meter wide pine trusses. A new roof was put on the building with remotely controlled velux windows, they also had inbuilt blinds. The building was completely insulated to modern regulations using advanced insulating products such as Triso Super 10, which is a mere 30mm thick.
On one side of the building there was built up ground which was causing damp to come through the solid brick wall. To solve this problem we coated the walls in Tanking Slurry a waterproofing agent, which when applied to the walls stopped the moisture moving through the wall to damage the room.
